Poll: Nearly 100 Percent of US Agree, Illegal Immigration a 'Problem'

An overwhelming majority of Americans believe illegal immigration is a problem, according to a survey by YouGov.

Ninety-two percent of respondents called illegal immigration a "problem," with 77 percent calling it either "very serious" or a "somewhat serious" problem.

According to the poll, taken September 1-2, half of those surveyed said they would report an employer they suspected of hiring illegal immigrants,

Half of Americans would report an employer they suspected of hiring illegal immigrants to the government, almost half support the government searching for illegal immigrants who have committed no other crime and deporting them. Thirty-nine percent say they would report neighbors who are illegal immigrants," Media Research Center reported.

Just more than half, 52 percent, said they support a pathway to citizenship if illegal immigrants are currently in the country "if they pass background checks, pay fines, and have jobs."
