In his concession speech Tuesday night, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that any claims Mitt Romney had as the "inevitable" GOP nominee had "just collapsed" as the result of Tuesday's primaries.
Gingrich questioned how Romney could continue to claim the role of "front-runner" when the conservatives running the race just took 70 percent of the vote in Alabama and Mississippi.
"If you keep coming in third, you are not much a of a front-runner," Gingrich said.
He said Romney could not be the nominee of the party because his Romneycare healthcare program was used as the model for President Barack Obama's healthcare program.
