KABUL, Afghanistan — NATO forces say an international service member has been killed in an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan.

The military coalition said the service member died Sunday but did not provide further detail.

NATO typically waits for national authorities to identify their dead and provide details of fatal incidents.

The death makes 77 international troops killed so far this month.
