Michael Reagan, President Ronald Reagan's son and a Newsmax contributor, tweeted at the end of the debate that Republican challenger Mitt Romney won, describing it as the "best debate performance by a Republican since Lincoln!"

Romney ended with a strong closing statement: “This election is about the course of America. What do you want for your children? There are two paths. They lead in different directions. If President Obama were re-elected you would continue to see middle class squeeze, chronic unemployment. I'll create 12 million new jobs.

Urgent Poll: Who Won the Presidential Debate? VOTE NOW!

“If you stick with President Obama, Obamacare will remain installed. Many will lose insurance. Premiums will go up. If I'm elected we'll get the costs of healthcare down. If he's re-elected you'll see a huge cut to Medicare, millions will drop out.

“Finally, on the military, Obama will dramatically cut the military. I will not cut our commitment. I will keep America strong.”
