CNN Projects Romney for Win in Indiana

CNN is projecting Republican challenger Mitt Romney as the winner in Indiana, with 56 percent of the vote over 42 percent for President Barack Obama, delivering 11 electoral votes to Romney’s side.

With 10 percent of the vote in, Romney is ahead with 151,803 votes to Obama’s 111,838.

The win in Indiana is an upset for Obama, who upended 40 years of Republican tradidion in 2008 by winning the presidential Race in Indiana in close contest between him and Republican contender Sen. John McCain.

Polls closed in Indiana at 7 p.m.
