Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's statements in a press conference addressing her email controversy weren't always consistent nor did they jibe with other information, according to a former prosecutor for cyber crimes at the Justice Department.
Mark Rasch told CNN that Clinton actually made two opposite statements in the Tuesday press conference.
"She said she chose not to keep personal emails, which makes me think they were deleted," Rasch said. "But she also said the server contains personal communications that will remain private. Those are two inconsistent things. We don't know whether she deleted them or whether they're there and she's just not going to turn them over."
MNSBC host Joe Scarborough wasn't buying Clinton's claim that she didn't want to use two different email accounts because it would have required her to use "two devices."
Many smartphone users have more than one email account on their phones and simply switch to a different app to use them.
Clinton also said in her statement that "the system we used was set up for President Clinton's office."
That makes it sound as if the system pre-existed her use of it for government business, but
reporting by The Washington Post indicated that the server was not set up until 2009 when Hillary Clinton assumed office as secretary of state.
