Donald Trump admitted "everything is negotiable" in response to a report that he told The New York Times he is only touting a border wall and deporting 11 million illegal immigrants.
But he said not to expect him not to build a wall.
"I'll make it two feet shorter or something," Trump said Monday on Fox News Channel's
"Hannity."
"It's not negotiable about building it?" host Sean Hannity asked.
"No. Building it? Not negotiable," Trump said.
Trump also said he had no plans to negotiate on deporting 11 million people in the country illegally.
Buzzfeed on Monday reported that Trump told the Times editorial board off the record in January that his calls for a border wall and the mass deportations were simply bargaining chips for negotiations.
Texas Sen.
Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio have called on Trump to tell the Times to release the transcript of the meeting.
