The political arm of the Club for Growth is touting the influence of a
million-dollar anti-Donald Trump ad campaign in primary races in both Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Club for Growth Action president David McIntosh said he predicted just how tough those states would prove for the GOP front-runner.
"'Watch closely in Arkansas and Oklahoma.' That’s what I told an interviewer [Monday], because those are the two states where Club for Growth Action is running ads against Donald Trump," McIntosh said in a statement.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was projected the winner in Oklahoma's primary,
MSNBC reports, and he was challenging Trump in Arkansas,
according to Politico.
"As CFG Action showed in Iowa, and now in Arkansas and Oklahoma, Donald Trump can be stopped," he added.
McIntosh suggested the political action group would be in a full-court press against Trump in states holding winner-take-all delegates after March 15.
"CFG Action is confident going forward that, with sufficient resources, Trump can be stopped in the winner-take-all states. And this is precisely the plan," he said.
