Right to Rise, the main super PAC supporting GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush's campaign, on Monday released advertising in South Carolina calling him the "conservative you can trust" and outlining his stances on several key issues through the years.
In the ad, the narrator says:
"He was rated A+ by the NRA, not for his promises, but for defending the Second Amendment. He's a man of deep faith, who fought time and again for the right to life. He laid out a plan to destroy ISIS, months before Paris.
"He'll strengthen our borders, and use conservative principles to put Washington's broken fiscal house back in order. Jeb Bush, he's the conservative you can trust to fight for our beliefs."
The 30-second spot shows several scenes from Bush's time as Florida governor and news clips to tout his conservative background, including a photo of
Terri Schiavo, the Florida woman who died in April 2005 after living for 15 years in a persistent vegetative state.
Bush, who was governor of Florida at the time, worked to pass laws along with the legislature and Congress, to allow her to remain alive.
But after a lengthy legal battle in both state and federal courts, it was decided that the feeding tube should be removed, and her photo is shown as the ad's narrator talks about Bush's faith and that he "fought time and again for the right to life."
