After five months on the market, the Nissan Leaf and Chevrolet Volt electric cars have vehicle sales figures separated by a mere 17 individual cars, reports
USA Today.
The Leaf, an all-electric vehicle, can run for about 75 miles in between each charge and is priced at $32,780. The Volt, a $41,000 model, boasts a backup engine that kicks in after 25 miles of electric-only driving.
The Nissan Leaf tentatively holds the sales lead, but that slim advantage could disappear in a matter of days.
