With appropriate tribute, and an apology, to the late Mary Isabel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien (that would be the beehived ’60s icon Dusty Springfield to you): For those who fancy coloring books, and lots of people do, here’s a new one for you. Crayons ready? Very well, begin to color . . . TEA. You heard that right: Even as some tea party critics lament the fact that the group has gone outside party lines and upset a passel of political primaries, here’s something that requires users to stay inside the lines.

It's a coloring book. For tea partyers. The same company that produced “President Obama, An Activity & Work Book" back in 2008 now is selling a tome that just might be a grass-roots conservative’s cup of tea. “The Tea Party Coloring Book for Kids,” courtesy of Really Big Coloring Books Inc, is available at
ColoringBook.com.
The site touts the 8.5-by-11-inch book, at $3.59, thusly: “Teaches children (and parents) about the origins of the Tea Party and what it involves. A very pleasant song, coloring and activity book on Liberty, Faith, Freedom and so much more!”
The 32-pager, which has a plastic spiral binding, includes not only coloring but also games, puzzles, mazes, and connect-the-dots challenges.
BTW, if you’re wondering whether the final line, “Color him gone,” in Springfield’s “My Coloring Book” classic applies to the Obama activity book, it’s still available at a price reduced from $3.99 to $2.99. Subtitle: “Yes We Did!”
