Mick Jagger suggests the Isle of Man is an ideal spot for an experiment on rolling stoned.

The self-governing island in the Sea of Ireland between Great Britain and Ireland is the perfect place to legalize cannabis in a great social experiment to see whether the legalization prevents drug-related crime, according to a Liz Thomas report in the online edition of the London Daily Mail.

After all, it’s human nature to experiment with illegal substances, said the 66-year-old who’s known not only as lead singer for the Rolling Stones but also for doing his fair share of experimentation.

Jagger, who made the comments upon arriving for the Cannes Film Festival, was given a conditional discharge for possession of narcotics in the 1960s.

Experimenting on the island presumably would ensure that authorities could keep things under their thumb.
