Minneapolis ranks as the best city in which to work for a small business, according to a survey of the 100 biggest cities in the country by
WalletHub, a personal finance web site.
It rated cities by 10 measures, including number of small businesses, small business job growth, number of hours worked at small businesses and small business vitality.

Salt Lake City placed second, followed by Miami, Madison, Wisconsin, and Oklahoma City.
Stockton, California, came in last, followed by Modesto, California, Augusta, Georgia, Jackson, Mississippi, and Scranton, Pennsylvania.
As for the number of small businesses per 1,000 residents, Miami topped the list at 30.2, followed by Bridgeport, Connecticut, at 28.7, Denver at 28.1, New York at 27.9 and Portland at 27.3.
Bakersfield, California, headed the bottom of the list at 14.02, followed by McAllen, Texas, at 14.03, Riverside, California, at 15, Stockton at 15.3 and Modesto at 15.9.

The number of small business owners who said they couldn't find qualified workers to fill vacant jobs is rising, sparking higher wages.
"Inflation will begin to pick up because reports of higher compensation are growing in frequency, and these costs will be recovered in higher prices," the NFIB said in a statement,
