Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital plans to cut 92 jobs while closing a facility in Arlington, Texas.

Operations will be consolidated with the Texas Rehab Hospital of Arlington, a $15.8 million facility that opened last year and was slated to employ 150 people.

“We will try our best to transition employees to our South Arlington campus, or other opportunities within the Kindred organization, as available,” Russ Bailey, vice president of operations, told the Dallas Morning News.

Layoffs from the Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital are expected to begin on Dec. 31, according to a letter sent to the Texas Workforce Commission on Nov. 2.

Kindred’s stock has dropped 34 percent in the past 12 months to $8.55 a share in New York trading.
