Newly released Justice Department records detail how Jeffrey Epstein cultivated relationships with influential figures across business, medicine, law and Hollywood, revealing a spinning web of influence among the elite that extended well beyond politics and finance, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Among the most prominent figures named is Peter Attia, a celebrity physician and longevity expert whose correspondence with Epstein continued for years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.

Attia, the author of the bestselling book “Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity,” built a following by promoting strategies to help people live longer, healthier lives.

His name appears more than 1,700 times in the newly released files, which show repeated meetings with Epstein at his Manhattan townhouse between 2014 and 2019.

Epstein’s calendars suggest he sought medical advice from Attia, including blood draws and follow-up visits. Email exchanges released by the Justice Department include flirtatious and graphic messages.

In one 2015 exchange, Attia emailed Epstein with the subject line, “Got a fresh shipment.”

After Epstein replied with a redacted image, Attia wrote: “Please tell you found that picture online… bastard.”

In another email, Attia wrote that Epstein’s lifestyle was “so outrageous” that he “can’t tell a soul.”

In a statement this week, Attia acknowledged the emails, calling them “embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible,” and said he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activity.

Reflecting on their association, Attia wrote: “Everything about him seemed excessive and exclusive,” citing Epstein’s Manhattan mansion, private jet and gatherings with “the most powerful and prominent leaders in business and politics.”

The files show how Epstein used those connections to elevate his status among power brokers, reinforcing a network of select relationships that persisted for years.

Hollywood director Brett Ratner also appears in the release.

Undated photographs show Ratner socializing with Epstein at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse, often alongside women whose identities were redacted. Additional emails show Epstein repeatedly invoking Ratner’s name while seeking introductions or arranging meetings.

In a 2010 email, Epstein referenced Ratner while discussing a potential film project and suggested photographing a woman in a “Snow White” costume.

Other correspondence shows Epstein inviting Ratner to dinners and name-dropping him in outreach to third parties.

Ratner, through a spokeswoman, said the photos are more than 20 years old and that he did not have a meaningful relationship with Epstein. He said the woman pictured with him was his then-fiancée and denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes.

The records also reference Los Angeles Olympics organizer Casey Wasserman and other executives and advisers, underscoring the breadth of Epstein’s social and professional reach.

Justice Department officials said the files document Epstein’s connections and do not constitute evidence of criminal wrongdoing by those named.

Still, the disclosures are renewing scrutiny of how Epstein embedded himself among influential figures — and how that system of access and influence endured long after his 2008 conviction.
