End of America Doesn’t Mean End for Americans. Video Gives Hope.

Have you heard the dire “End of America” predictions circulating lately?

The scare has permeated the country with “End of America” prophets, “End of America” books, “End of America” documentaries, even “End of America” videos.

These predictions claim that the United States is crumbling, like all the empires before it — ancient Rome, the Ottoman Empire, Spain, France, and England.

Is there truth to them? Are we facing the economic end of America in 2011 or 2012?

Robert Wiedemer, author of The New York Times best-selling book Aftershock, has been lumped in with these “End of America” economists. His disturbing prophecy of a 90% stock market drop, 100% annual inflation, and 50% unemployment, starting in 2012, definitely sounds like the end of America is near.

“I didn’t believe his claims at first. They seemed extreme,” confessed Aaron DeHoog, the financial publisher at Newsmax Media, after a private meeting with Wiedemer in Palm Beach, Fla. “But then he showed me the evidence. It was eerily alarming.”

After seeing the same charts as DeHoog, Russ H., a financial adviser from Wichita, Kan., said, “It scared the hell out of me. It was a great wake-up call.”

Wiedemer’s predictions certainly don’t seem far-fetched after we have witnessed the stock market’s violent swings, the slashing of the U.S. debt rating, desperate job speeches from President Barack Obama, talk of going back to the gold standard, and videos such as “The End of America” by Stansberry Research.

Newsmax and Wiedemer recently teamed up to produce the Aftershock Survival Summit. Originally filmed for a private audience as a financial blueprint, it gained wider circulation at viewers’ urging. In a grassroots-style movement, the Aftershock Survival Summit has now been viewed by over 10 million Americans seeking financial guidance during these troubling times.

But it wasn’t without cost. Certain media outlets have banned the message, claiming it was “too controversial.” At one point, Wiedemer says Washington’s “medicine has become the poison. And the money from heaven has become a path to hell.”

DeHoog doesn’t disagree with the controversial tone of the video. “Wiedemer tells it how it is. He unapologetically names names, points fingers, and leaves no stone unturned.”

However, DeHoog adds, “It is important to understand that ‘the end of America’ is not our message. Hope is not lost. In fact, we think the United States will emerge from these trials stronger than ever. And those who prepare now will prosper financially.”

And he says there is a special bonus for viewers.

“We give away a free copy of Wiedemer’s book Aftershock to those who view the Aftershock Survival Summit video. The book has a $28 price tag at retail stores, but we think its message is so important that we tore down all barriers for viewers to get their hands on it. Especially with all this ‘end of America’ talk.”

And over 160,000 have already claimed their free book with Newsmax’s special offer.

So is it the “end of America?” Not for those who watch the Aftershock Survival Summit.
