Warner Brothers Discovery is shutting CNN+ down and is expected to hold a staff meeting to provide them with details, Variety reports, citing two people familiar with the matter.

CNN and Warner Borthers Discovery spokespeople were not available for comment at press time.

Incoming CNN CEO Chris Licht sent a memo to staffers Thursday morning about "an important meeting" to be held at noon.

Licht already briefed CNN EVP Andrew Morse, who is in charge of CNN+, sources told Variety.
