Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein said the world needs to get used to U.S. political uncertainty for the foreseeable future because predictability isn’t seen as a virtue in President Donald Trump’s administration.

“The politics are as bitter and negative as I’ve ever seen it,” Blankfein said in an interview with Politico on Thursday.

While the rhetoric has gotten out of hand, the policy that is actually getting executed is largely pro-growth and successful, Blankfein added. He said the outlook for the U.S. economy remained positive.

I’m “not getting hysterical at every pronouncement,” Blankfein said.
