The dollar is extending its gains as wholesale inflation increases and concerns about Greek debt continue.

Other reports showing the pace of the economic recovery slowing are also driving investors to the U.S. currency.

In late afternoon trading Thursday, the euro is slightly lower at $1.3617 compared with $1.3618 late Wednesday. The British pound fell to $1.5627 from $1.5686, and the dollar edged up to 91.34 Japanese yen from 91.15 yen.
