U.S. consumers will pay 2 percent to 3 percent more for food in 2011, the Department of Agriculture said, leaving its forecast unchanged from December.
Food costs rose 0.8 percent in 2010, the USDA said today in a report on its website. The prior estimate was for inflation ranging from 0.5 percent to 1.5 percent.
