Eastman Kodak is suing Apple and BlackBerry maker Research in Motion over technology related to digital cameras in the companies' phones.

The company says Apple Inc.'s iPhone and some BlackBerry models infringe on a Kodak patent covering technology for previewing photos.

It is asking the U.S. International Trade Commission to bar Apple and Research in Motion Ltd. from shipping the phones.

The company is also filing a separate suit against Apple in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, asking for unspecified damages.
