Florida Congressman Allen West says Washington, D.C., has something to learn from the surprising success of Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

“Tim Tebow never believes that he is down,” West said in an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV.

West made the comment the day after Tebow guided his team to a 29-23 playoff victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers with a stunning 80-yard touchdown pass on the first play of overtime.

“He always believes that he can be victorious. I believe he has an impeccable character,” West said.

“I think if we can get those types of things restored in Washington in the individuals we’re sending there as elected officials, then the greatest days of this nation will be ahead of us.”
