Gov. Bill Ritter is touring southern Colorado to support a program helping veterans find construction jobs and to discuss economic recovery strategies.
At Fort Carson on Wednesday, Ritter will sign a proclamation supporting the "Helmets to Hardhats" program, which helps connect veterans to construction companies looking for workers.
Later Wednesday, Ritter will meet with CSU-Pueblo President Joe Garcia for a discussion with business leaders about economic recovery.
He also plans to sign an executive order in Pueblo encouraging state agencies to buy American-made products when they use federal stimulus funds for construction projects.
