Hewlett-Packard Co. has agreed to settle investor lawsuits over its acquisition of Autonomy Corp. that led to an $8.8 billion writedown in 2012, a person familiar with the matter said.
The company and the investors agreed to jointly pursue claims against Autonomy founder Michael Lynch, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the matter wasn’t public.
Sarah Pompei, a spokeswoman for Hewlett-Packard, declined to comment on the agreement.
