Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, commenting after President Donald Trump's order to launch the "Operation Midnight Hammer" attacks on three Iranian nuclear facilities Saturday, hailed the decision as being "right."

"President @realDonaldTrump's decision to strike Iran's nuclear program is the right one," the Wyoming Republican posted on X shortly after the strikes were publicly announced.

"The greatest threat to the safety of the United States and the world is Iran with a nuclear weapon. God Bless our troops," he added.
