Haifa police arrested three senior officials at the city's Elisha Hospital Tuesday morning on suspicion that they were involved in ongoing patient abuse, according to The Times of Israel.

Other workers at the privately run hospital were arrested last week in the case. They are suspected of physically abusing a comatose patient. Thus far, nine people have been arrested in connection with the alleged abuse.

The patient’s family members installed a hidden camera in her room after noticing suspicious wounds on her body. They did not find credible the explanation offered by hospital staff: that the wounds were side effects of drugs given to the patient.

While performing checkups on the woman, hospital workers were filmed pulling her hair,   treating her roughly, and slapping her on the face.

The reported victims being treated for lupus at the facility. In a civil lawsuit already filed against the hospital, her family alleges that she experienced cardiac arrest because of poor treatment and the facility and fell into a long-term coma.

Arutz Sheva reported that those arrested included the hospital's maintenance manager and the deputy manager of the head-injuries department.
