Saying Great Britain lost its "sovereignty," a complete and total Brexit is what the U.K. people voted for and what they want, and now its up to Prime Minister Boris Johnson to deliver, Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage discussed the situation in the U.K.

"The first two words on the top of [our passport] now are 'European Union,'" Farage told Sunday's "The Cats Roundtable" on 970 AM-N.Y. "That means that any of the 500 million people across Europe can come into our country, not just to work, but they can bring their families with them. They can use our school system.

"What we saw was a completely unprecedented, massive wave of immigration coming into Britain, fundamentally changing our communities, driving down wages, just generally making the quality of life less than it should be. So, the key reason we voted Brexit is we want to take back control of our borders. That's what we voted for. That's what we want."

Farage told host John Catsimatidis he hopes his party's driving Prime Minister Boris Johnson into the lead will ultimately do more than "just say the right things," but actually doing them.

"He became Prime Minister simply because I won this huge number of votes," Farage said. "It meant Mrs. May just had to go. Frankly, she was just useless. I know that sounds harsh, but that's life. So, Boris now picks up the mantle, promising we will now leave on the next big date on Oct. 31.

"He's saying all the right things. And I'm very carefully watching and waiting. I hope he doesn't just say the right things. I hope he does the right things."

Despite the political opposition attempting to paint Brexit as "xenophobic" and "racist," Farage stressed the U.K. is not anti-immigration, but anti-illegal immigration.

"Just as you and America are – sensible immigration," Farage said. "Of course, what the left try to do is to pin down that anyone who wants reasonable immigration controls, that somehow this is xenophobic, somehow this is racist."
