Twenty-year-old Israeli soldier Agam Berger met Israeli troops after her release from Hamas captivity on Thursday.
Berger, who spent over 15 months in the Gaza Strip as hostage, met female army officers as she left the Red Cross vehicle that delivered her from the Palestinian militant group.
Video and still photos released by the Israeli army showed her talking to an officer and hugging her, before getting into a blue van that drove away.
Reuters was unable to verify the location. The date was verified through corroborating reports of the hostage exchange. The identities were verified through file imagery.
Berger was taken to an army facility in Israel where she met her parents. She will later be transferred to a hospital in central Israel for medical examination and care.
Berger was abducted from a military base near Gaza on October 7, 2023 by Hamas militants and has been held in captivity for more than 480 days.
Her release, along with two other Israeli civilian hostages, takes place on Thursday in return for 110 Palestinian prisoners to be freed in the latest stage of a ceasefire deal.
