LIGNET: Three Reasons Iran is Refusing to Negotiate Over Nukes

The International Atomic Energy Agency’s failure to reach an agreement with Iran on its nuclear weapons program, announced today, bodes poorly for multilateral talks to be held later this month and poorly for the prospects for stopping Iran’s transformation into a nuclear weapons power. It’s apparent that three different things are driving Iran to reject all offers placed on the negotiating table to stall or halt development of its nuclear weapons program, and are likely inspiring Iran to accelerate progress.
