Battle for Asia Jet Market May End Duopoly

The Pentagon is not alone in turning its focus to Asia. American aircraft manufacturer Boeing (NYSE: BA) and French company Airbus (Paris/Frankfurt: EAD) see markets in China and India as increasingly important to their business and are likely to continue to ramp up efforts to secure their presence in the region. The battle for Asian sales will ultimately determine which firm is crowned the long-term market leader—but don’t exclude a future third party from emerging to challenge the duopoly.
