CNN president Jeffrey Zucker has sold his five-bedroom co-op in Manhattan for around $15.4 million as he prepares to leave the network at the end of this year, reports The New York Times.
The co-op, on 64th Street and Madison Ave., has five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. It also has a library, laundry area, den/playroom, and three working fireplaces, according to the listing with Warburg Realty.
The price paid was the highest for a co-op in New York City in February.
Zucker earlier this year came close to exiting CNN after the presidential inauguration.
But he told employees in early February that he would stay on until the end of 2021.
"The truth is, back in November and December I had basically decided that it was time to move on now," Zucker said at the time. "But since then, I've had a change of heart. And I want to stay. Not forever, but for another year. And I feel really good about this decision."
Zucker and wife, Carolyn Zucker, paid $12.3 million for their unit in 2007. They initially listed it for $17.5 million last year.
The new owner, Michael Steinhardt, is a hedge fund manager and philanthropist.
