An archivist and filmmaker who promoted the legacy of his father, Les Paul, has died. Lester "Rusty" G. Paul was 74.
Publicist Caroline Galloway tells The Associated Press that Paul died Thursday in New Jersey from complications related to diabetes.
Rusty Paul for years shared a home and production facility in Mahwah, New Jersey, with his father and videotaped many of his performances. He gave talks about his guitar-innovator father and organized an exhibit at the Mahwah Museum.
Les Paul died in 2009.
Rusty Paul is survived by his former wife, Glori; three children; and seven grandchildren.
