A judge has accepted Mickey Rooney's will and his chosen estate administrator after several of the actor's children dropped their objections.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cowan on Thursday appointed attorney Michael Augustine to oversee the "Andy Hardy" star's estate, which includes some of the star's memorabilia.

Rooney died in April 2014, and his will disinherited his children. His stepson and caretaker, Mark Aber, will receive some of the proceeds of the estate.

Several of Rooney's biological children objected to the will, which was signed just weeks before the actor's death at age 93. Those objections were dropped, clearing the way for Augustine's formal appointment.

Rooney said before his death that he had lost most of his fortune due to elder abuse and financial mismanagement by another stepson.
