President Donald Trump called for the U.S. attorney in Minnesota to investigate a report claiming Rep. Ilhan Omar supporters were illegally ballot harvesting.

The president called for the probe on Twitter after Project Veritas released a report Sunday alleging Omar’s supporters in Minneapolis were illegally obtaining ballots.

"This is totally illegal. Hope that the U.S. Attorney in Minnesota has this, and other of her many misdeeds, under serious review??? If not, why not??? We will win Minnesota because of her, and law enforcement. Saved Minneapolis & Iron O Range!" Trump wrote.

Project Veritas, which uses undercover journalists, highlighted a video of an operative bragging about collecting ballots on social media.

Ballot harvesting is when a third party collects ballots from voters and brings them to polling stations. The ballot collectors can be paid for their work.

In the Project Veritas report, a man identified as Libon Mohamed was captured bragging about the large stack of ballots he collected. Mohamed claimed he was being paid for the ballot collecting. In the state of Minnesota, it is illegal to harvest more than three ballots, the Washington Examiner reports. He stated he had “300 ballots for Jamal Osman," a member of the Minneapolis City Council.

The report also included interviews with Minneapolis residents who detailed large-scale ballot harvesting operations conducted in various apartment complexes throughout the city. One official with the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, Omar Jamal, claimed Omar’s supporters were the ones collecting the ballots.

"I think [Mohamed] was [working for] both Ilhan Omar and Jamal [Osman], but I think he was more with Ilhan Omar," Jamal said.
