Trump Hasn't Thought About Pardoning Manafort

Wednesday, 13 March 2019 03:38 PM EDT

President Donald Trump said on Wednesday he has not thought about pardoning his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort after he was sentenced to another 3-1/2 years in prison, although he said he felt "very bad" for his ex-aide.

"I have not even given it a thought, as of this moment. It's not something that's right now on my mind," Trump told reporters at the White House after Manafort was sentenced to more prison time. "I do feel badly for Paul Manafort, that I can tell you."

"I think it's a very bad situation," he said.
