One of the top officials at the Trump Organization is leaving the company after more than a decade of service.

The company's executive vice president and chief compliance counsel George Sorial told CNN he will leave the real estate firm in June. He plans to focus on a new book he co-wrote, "The Real Deal: My Decade Fighting Battles and Winning Wars With Trump."

Sorial first started working at the Trump Organization in 2007. His forthcoming book will chronicle his years working there, and will include a chapter about President Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, he told CNN.

This year, Sorial has served as the liaison between the company and Democrats on Capitol Hill after they opened several investigations into Trump's background.
