Tiger Woods was reportedly running late to see football stars Drew Brees and Justin Herbert to record a “teaching lessons” segment at a California golf course when he got into a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning.
Sources told Fox News and ESPN's Shelley Smith that Woods was scheduled to record with Brees and Herbert for Discovery Networks at the Rolling Hills Country Club at 8 a.m. local time on Tuesday. Woods’ accident occurred at about 7 a.m., according to The New York Times.
According to Fox, their sources said that Woods was “running late” on Tuesday and “took off” from the hotel he was staying in after receiving his SUV from the valet. His team had already gone to the location of the shoot to set things up.
Representatives for Discovery Networks confirmed that Woods was supposed to film on Tuesday before the crash.
"Everyone at Discovery and GOLFTV wishes Tiger a speedy recovery and our thoughts are with him, his family, and his team at this time," Discovery Networks said in a statement, according to Fox News.
