Unsatisfied with congressional gridlock on House Democrats stimulus bill, a proposed package of more than $2 trillion that would not reach the Senate floor, President Donald Trump fired off a tweetstorm Tuesday calling for "stand alone" aid bills for Americans, struggling airlines, and small businesses.

Trump tweeted Tuesday night:

"If I am sent a Stand Alone Bill for Stimulus Checks ($1,200), they will go out to our great people IMMEDIATELY. I am ready to sign right now. Are you listening Nancy?@MarkMeadows @senatemajldr @kevinomccarthy @SpeakerPelosi @SenSchumer"

Trump's tweets followed a call to halt to coronavirus stimulus talks until after the election, a move that brought a stock market dip before the close of business on Tuesday afternoon.

Trump also tweeted his proposal for saving airlines from massive furloughs and layoffs:

"The House & Senate should IMMEDIATELY Approve 25 Billion Dollars for Airline Payroll Support, & 135 Billion Dollars for Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business. Both of these will be fully paid for with unused funds from the Cares Act. Have this money. I will sign now!"

On an unrelated topic, Trump tweeted Tuesday night about the declassification of Russian investigation "hoax" documents, saying the investigation of the investigators known as the Durham probe was "taking too long."
