Is Donald Trump a creation of superhero comic creator, Stan Lee? There is no question that Stan Lee who created Marvel Comics has created characters that very much resemble Donald Trump today.
Some of what Trump says is similar to the 2008 book, "Election Daze: What Are They Really Saying?" by Lee.
Trump and the character Thor have a lot in common.
But he also calls to mind other characters. For instance, there is no question Trump has the arrogance and spark that we find in Iron Man. When he speaks, we can imagine it is Captain America speaking to us of a bygone era that can make a comeback.
When detractors try to beat up on Trump he turns in to The Hulk.
Now remember two things about Stan Lee’s visions of who would save America. His heroes were complex. They could have bad tempers, feelings of melancholy, days of vanity, they got bored and even argued. But there is no question that they fought for a better America. They were against discrimination, prejudice, intolerance and stupidity.
As for Stan’s other creations, The Avengers approach seems to be the brand of justice that Trump wants to bring to Washington. Maybe he is saving Spiderman and The X-Men for his Cabinet once he is elected.
We live in a different age today. Stan Lee’s creations make us believe that justice is possible and that a hero will arise bringing better times for all of us.
Perhaps Hillary Clinton could be Dr. Doom . . .
