Florida DNC Delegate: Christians Just Want Jews to Be Slaughtered

A Jewish delegate to the Democratic National Committee has caused furor after claiming that Christians want to slaughter Jews so they can be converted at the Second Coming.

Mark Alan Siegel, chairman of Florida's Palm Beach County Democratic Party told an interviewer, "I'm Jewish. I'm not a fan of any religion other than Judaism."

He added, "The Christians just want us to be there so we can be slaughtered and converted and bring on the second coming of Jesus Christ."

Siegel's comments come after other delegates have been criticized for likening Republicans to Nazis. The Ani-Defamation League's Abe Foxman said on Wednesday that such comparison "only serves to trivialize the Holocaust and is deeply offensive to Jews and other survivors."

But Siegel made it clear he had no time for Christians. "They're not our friends," he said. "They want Israel to pursue policies which are antithetical with its security and existence.

"The worst possible allies for the Jewish state are the fundamentalist Christians who want Jews to die and convert so they can bring on the second coming of their Lord. It is a false friendship. They are seeking their own ends and not ours.

"I don¹t believe the fundamentalists urging a greater Israel are friends of the Jewish state," Siegel added.
