The superintendent of a school district north of Seattle has closed the high school "out of an abundance of caution” over coronavirus.

The Seattle Times reports that Bothell High School  closed Thursday, despite advice from public-health officials, after an employee returned from overseeas travel  during last week’s midwinter break.

In a letter to parents Wednesday night, Northshore School District Superintendent Michelle Reid wrote that the staffer had been traveling with a family member who started feeling sick Tuesday and who is ubeing tested for COVID-19.
