Rosie O'Donnell is offering Sens. Susan Collins and Jeff Flake $2 million each to vote no on the Republican reform tax bill.

And the apparently tongue-in-cheek overture has conservatives crying foul, accusing the liberal, Trump-trashing comic of attempting to bribe public officials.

Late Tuesday, O'Donnell fired off a somewhat profane tweet to Collins, a Maine Republican, and Flake, an Arizona Republican, laying out her offer:

Carl Arbogast, a writer for the conservative political blog Red State, responded: "Offering to pay a public official so they'll vote a certain way? There's a word for that, Rosie. BRIBE.

"It's a big no-no in politics, and while many politicians have surely gotten away with accepting bribes, many others have spent years in prison for taking them."

Conservative writer David Harsanyi of The Federalist interpreted O'Donnell's offer even more severely, tweeting "ARREST ROSIE."

O'Donnell — star of such big-screen comedies as "A League of their Own" and the raunchy R-rated sex farce "Exit to Eden" — regularly comments on political issues and has been in an brusque war of words with Donald Trump for years.
