Rep. Pete King: Suspicious Package Probe Must Be 'Drilled Down'
(Fox News' "America's Newsroom")

Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., called for a through investigation into suspicious packages that were intercepted Wednesday before being sent to Hillary Clinton, former President Bill Clinton, and into another package sent to CNN's headquarters in New York City.

"This has to be drilled down as quickly as possible," King told Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "We want to find out who was behind it, whether or not it was just individuals being targeted or part of a larger conspiracy or an individual behind or an organization, all of this has to be looked into."

King said he spoke with a person involved in the investigation into a device that was sent to Democratic donor George Soros on Monday and learned there is analysis being done on the bomb that was sent there.

"The fact that they've not detonated is very significant and make it a lot less difficult for the FBI, Secret Service, to trace it back as to again where it was put together, who might be behind it, and also I'm sure they're putting facilities all across the country on full alert now to look extra carefully for anything that could potentially be an explosive device coming in," the lawmaker said.

Meanwhile, the New York City Police Department always works at the "highest level" and will maximize its efforts to determine who is behind the packages.

"They know what they have to do, where they have to go, what can be done, what should be done," King said. "This will bring it to again even maximize that. They know what they have to do, where they have to go, what can be done, what should be done."
