Fox's Pavlich Slams MSNBC Host for Shot at CNN's Lemon

By    |   Monday, 09 December 2013 03:13 PM EST

Fox News Contributor Katie Pavlich launched a stinging critique of MSNBC television host Touré after he labeled CNN's black news anchor Don Lemon a "white leader" during a Twitter rant about white-on-white violence.

The co-host of "The Cycle" said Lemon's comments in July offering advice to blacks about how they could improve their communities was tantamount to being a leader of white people, a position, he argued, Lemon shares with Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh.

"Why aren't white leaders like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh and Don Lemon doing anything to combat white on white violence??? #SOS," Touré said in a tweet Sunday.

"I've lost a lot of white friends to violence perpetrated by white people and it's time someone stood up to white on white violence," Touré said in a second tweet, with another saying, "The idea that Black violence is endemic & speaks to the character of Black people while white violence is deviant & rare is . . . disgusting."

Lemon had advised black people to pull up their pants, finish school, not use the n-word, take care of their communities, and not have children out of wedlock, after Bill O'Reilly had made controversial comments criticizing the black community.

Pavlich responded to Touré's tweets, saying, "So because Don Lemon believes in standards like young black men pulling their pants up he's now a 'white leader'? OKAY @ Toure."

Touré answered, "'Pull up your pants' is fake advice meant to make whites feel blacks are their own real problem. It's a non-solution."

Pavlich fired back saying, "So black Don Lemon telling young black men to pull their pants up is all about making whites feel better? OKAY @ Toure."

Touré answered, "Yes. It doesn't help Black men to be told pull up your pants. By that point they've already been failed by society."

The comments attracted criticism from a host of other followers on Twitter under the hashtag #StopWhiteOnWhiteViolence.
