Shirts Found with Wash. MLK Parade Bomb Are Local

Friday, 21 January 2011 12:50 PM EST

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The two T-shirts that were found with a bomb placed along a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade route in Spokane, Wash., apparently came from nearby.

The FBI released photos of the two T-shirts that were inside the backpack containing the bomb. One of the shirts was distributed at the "Relay for Life" race at Colville High School last year.

The other T-shirt had writing saying "Treasure Island." Spokane television station KXLY is reporting that it was given to students who performed in a play of that name in 2009 at Jenkins High School in Chewelah (chu-WEE'-luh).

Both Colville and Chewelah are in Stevens County, which is just north of Spokane.
