People across the globe have started reporting businesses that fail to comply with orders to shut down non-essential businesses during the coronavirus outbreak, the Daily Mail reports.

Chicago's Bikram Yoga West Loop studio closed after multiple nearby residents reported its staying open to the police. One teacher, Naveed Abidi, told The Associated Press he was under the impression he could keep holding classes if the group was small, if they kept away from one another, and if he sanitized the studio in between classes.

"If we were naughty with the government's order, then we're very, very sorry," he said. "We're not here to cause problems; we're here to practice our poses."

One resident of Naugatuck, Connecticut, named Gwen Becker took a video of a crowded golf course, which she posted to Facebook. The town's mayor ended up ordering the course to close.

"I was angry and upset, and I threw some f-bombs," she said, according to the Daily Mail. "you're not going to consider that what you're doing could kill somebody?"

Two bars in Tulsa, Oklahoma, got shut down and issued misdemeanor citations and tickets for staying open and having a crowd of people inside.

"The fact that we have to do this at all means some people are not interested in self-preservation or protecting others," Tulsa Police Lt. Richard Meulenberg said. "We're not immunologists. We're not scientists. We're cops. We're just trying to do our part."
