CHESTERLAND, Ohio (AP) — A sheriff's official says rescue crews are helping remove about 80 people trapped on a stalled ski lift at a northeast Ohio resort. No injuries have been reported.
Geauga (jee-AW'-guw) County Sheriff's Lt. John Hiscox says the lift at Alpine Valley in Munson Township stopped around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Hiscox says Munson Township fire officials are being assisted by several other departments in the rescue.
The telephone line to the township fire department rang unanswered Saturday afternoon. The line to Alpine Valley also rang busy.
