The Ohio University Graduate Student Senate has voted to remove former Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes from the newsroom of the school's television/radio station, The Post in Athens, Ohio reports.

The vote came after Democratic congressional candidate Sarah Grace, an Ohio alum, made a presentation before the group and spoke out in favor of removing the name of Ailes, who stepped down from his role at Fox News this summer amid a sexual harassment scandal.

"I'm furious that so many women have been victimized just in their efforts of trying to work in this predatory environment," Grace said.

The newsroom has been named for Ailes, also an alum of the school, since he gave a donation to the school in 2007.

"It saddens me that my university, my alma mater, the school that I love has any part in that history," Grace said. "It pains me to know that my daughters will inevitably face the challenges of being young women in a country where there is a lingering notion that how they look matters more than what they think."

The Senate voted without debate to recommend removing Ailes' name, though members noted they were not sure if the school was legally bound to keep it.
