President Barack Obama levied his own smack talk back on NBA great Michael Jordan, who said in a radio interview last week that the president's golf game was, well, "sh--ty," Mediaite reports.

The president, in an interview with Wisconsin radio station WJMR, said while Jordan was a formidable duffer, he probably should stay in his own lane.

“There is no doubt that Michael is a better golfer than I am,” the president allowed.

“Of course if I was playing twice a day for the last 15 years, then that might not be the case,” he added with a little push-back. “He might want to spend more time thinking about the Bobcats, or the Hornets."

Jordan, a devoted golfer who has never played with the commander-in-chief, shared his candid assessment with the Back 9 Network's Ahmad Rashad as they discussed his dream foursome, Mediaite noted. At first Jordan included Obama on his team, but then changed his mind.

“No, I take that back,” Jordan told Rashad of selecting Obama. “I’d be out all day playing with him.

He added that he wasn't dissing the president's ability to lead. “I never said he wasn’t a great politician,” Jordan noted. “I’m just saying he’s a sh--ty golfer.”

The president's penchant for hitting the links, despite juggling ongoing crises at home and abroad, has been roundly criticized. A website, obamagolfcounter.com, has charted his outings as president, which the site says numbered 192 times through Aug. 23.

After a stunning defeat handed to Democrats in the 2014 midterms Tuesday, some wonder if the president will likely spend even more time working on his swing over the next two years as a Republican-led Congress takes control.

According to the website The Week, Obama doesn't hold the record for most time spent on the links, even as his detractors call him out for his hobby. President Dwight Eisenhower carded more than 800 golf outings over eight years.
