Two New York lawmakers are sponsoring legislation to rename a shuttered state park bearing the name of President Donald Trump, according to multiple reports.

State Sen. Brad Hoylman introduced the bill in the wake of Trump's alleged comments last week referring to Haiti and some African countries as "s***holes."

So even though it closed in 2010 because of budget cuts, Hoylman is moving to rename the dormant Donald J. Trump State Park straddling Westchester and Putnam counties to something to be picked by the communities.

"This fresh outrage gives even greater impetus to strip his name from a New York state park," Hoylman said. "There's no hiding from Trump's bigotry, but we New Yorkers can take a stand against his racism and divisiveness by removing his name from public buildings and parks."

Joining Hoylman in the effort is Queens Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, who earlier this year proposed renaming the park after the woman who was killed in the Charlottesville riots over the summer — Heather D. Heyer State Park.

Trump donated the land to the state in 2006 after failing to secure permits to build a golf course.

"I've seen news accounts of its disrepair. It's ironic that the president would use such a vulgar term about a country, that it might apply to the state of the park," Hoylman said.
